You come in France to study on your own

your family does not live in France or have been living in France since less than two years

Accomodation :

• You have a very little chance to obtain a student flat.
  You will be placed according to the availabilities and within the limit of the 25% of residences reserved for the whole of the foreign students.
   
• To ask for an accomodation , you have to register a DSE

Requests for accomodations will be examined according to the criteria defined with the universities :
- criteria of the University of Nantes
- criteria of the University of Maine (Mans - Laval)
- criteria of the University of Angers

If you have obtained a student accomodation you have to :

• provide a certificate established by a person who lives and works in the European Union. This person commits himself regulating the sums which you would not pay to the CROUS.
• provide a certificate of insurance for fire and water damages, civil liability

Without these documents you will not be allowed to get the flat which would have been allotted to you.

If you did not obtain student accomodation :

You have a free access to studo flat offers in private residences. The flats are quite few and expensive (around 300 € per month). You may pay a deposit equivalent to two or three months of rent before reaching the flat and provide a certificate of insurance and guarantees .
